Robyn Morton started off as a WIL student at Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve and CTEET was fortunate to have her join us for the four years thereafter. After completing her National Diploma, Robyn went on to complete her BTech in Nature Conservation. She joined the CTEET team, first as an intern, and later as an Assistant Conservation Officer for the Muizenberg East Conservation Cluster. Robyn was then accepted to do her Masters in 2020 through SANBI and sadly we had to say goodbye to her. We are very proud of Robyn and all her achievements and wish her well in future endeavours. Site Manager at Muizenberg East Conservation Cluster, Andrea von Gunten says, “This is a great example of how CTEET assists young graduates to grow within the conservation workforce. Robyn used these stepping stones to further her career and we are very proud of her.” Robyn says, “CTEET has not only helped me grow professionally through providing me with job opportunities and work experience, but has been incredibly supportive throughout my part time studies. I passed my BTech in nature conservation with distinctions in every subject, which would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of CTEET and especially my manager, Andrea Von Gunten. This ultimately helped me secure my masters scholarship. I’m so grateful for my time spent working for CTEET, and would like to thank everyone there”.
