In August the Conservation Leadership Programme Senior Group went to the Iziko Museum and Company Gardens. The learners thoroughly enjoyed the garden, especially getting up close and personal with the squirrels. For many of the learners it was their first visit to the Museum. They were very lucky as the Star People (a group of amateur astronomers) were doing an Astronomy Outreach as part of National Science Week. The learners had the opportunity to have a look at the sun through some of the telescopes. The museum had more wonders awaiting the group and they couldn’t contain their excitement as they moved from one display to the next. The ocean exhibit piqued all their interest. The megalodon jaw was the favourite.
