On 26 September 2013 a bus of 23 children from the Durbanville Children’s Home arrived at Tygerberg Nature Reserve. Andrea Von Gunten, a CTEET staff member and the People and Conservation Officer at the reserve, hosted the first overnight camp.

With the weather being miserable, Andrea went to plan B and set up the tents in the courtyard of the Kristo Pienaar Environmental Education Centre and the activities went ahead as planned inside the centre. Overall, even with the rain, the camp was a great success and Tygerberg will hopefully do more camps in the near future.

Some photos of the camp below.
