It was a privilege for CTEET to host the staff from SANBI’s Kirstenbosch Goldfields Environmental Education team. It was a morning of celebrating our shared values and common goals, strengthening relationships and exchanging ideas

We received a thank you letter from Sally Hey (Principal Environmental Educator at Kirstenbosch) and she had this to say:

“It was interesting for all of us to hear the scope of the work you are doing, especially under such trying financial circumstances. One can only be grateful that so many people are prepared to put in the effort to educate the youth about the environment in so many different and encouraging ways. It was wonderful to be led through a few team-building challenges, especially at the beginning of the year. We look forward to repeating the exchange again at a later date, when we look forward to hosting your fantastic team at Kirstenbosch.”

“The dragon boat ride was particularly a challenge for the team, who are afraid of water, so it was nice to have the support of your team encouraging them to get into the boat and join in. They may not do it again, but they felt proud of their achievement.”

Thank you to our Kirstenbosch friends, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
