VACANCY: Sustainable Schools’ Regional Coordinator
Nature Connect’s EdTech programme, Sustainable Schools, is seeking a regional coordinator to oversee the programme’s implementation across the southern region of South Africa. This role involves managing and supporting school coordinators (account managers for schools), ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining strong relationships with schools and programme partners. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, understands CRM systems such as Salesforce, and is able to drive the programme’s success both online and on the ground.
Job Information:
Location: Cape Town (Hybrid) – 3 days in office in Tokai.

Position Type: Two-year contract with the option to renew
Qualifications: Degree in Education, Environmental Studies, Sustainable Development or a related field.
Key responsibilities:
- Regional programme delivery:
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve regional programme objectives.
- Ensure successful programme delivery in the region.
- Target setting and planning:
- Set annual targets for school registrations.
- Plan and execute actions to meet targets with cross-functional teams.
- Team management:
- Manage and mentor school coordinators.
- Monitor and improve team performance.
- Assist with HR processes and programme implementation.
- Budget and financial management:
- Draft and manage budgets based on programme targets.
- Ensure effective financial oversight and reporting.
- Programme monitoring and evaluation:
- Follow monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Compile comprehensive reports on programme performance.
- Partnership development:
- Grow the partner network in collaboration with the partnerships coordinator.
- Engage and manage programme partners in the region.
- Training and development:
- Train staff on new processes and programme changes.
- Lead planning and development of workshops and events.
- CRM and technology oversight:
- Oversee the team’s use and management of CRM systems to ensure programme efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the data coordinator who provides overall CRM system assistance for the programme to maintain up-to-date records of relevant school and programme partner accounts.
- Marketing and content generation:
- Assist with regional marketing initiatives.
- Gather and provide content for media and promotional activities.
- Identify newsworthy events to raise the programme profile.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership. Project management certification is advantageous.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative.
- Tech-literate with adaptability to new software, including CRM systems such as Salesforce. Prior CRM experience is preferred, but a strong willingness and ability to learn is essential.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
