What the work actually involves
We are a small organisation working at metro scale, so almost every role here is broader than its job title.
Just over forty people cover camps, schools, accredited training, conservation sites and the office. It suits people who are practical and comfortable being useful before being expert.
Pay is nonprofit pay, set by what donors fund rather than by what the market offers. We would rather you knew that now than discover it in a second interview. What the work does give you is real responsibility early, and colleagues who have been doing this for decades.
Twenty-five years of this has taught us that the most reliable way in is rarely a job advert. Several of the people on our team started here as learners, interns or volunteers, so if you are early in your career, start there.

GRADUATE INTERNSHIP (20 Positions)
Nature Connect has been awarded CATHSSETA funding for 20 Graduate Internship placements in the Western Cape. The funded allocation comprises:
• 15 × National Diploma: Nature Conservation
• 5 × Diploma in Marine Science
The Graduate Internship is designed for unemployed graduates who require practical workplace experience and exposure to improve their employability. The CATHSSETA agreement specifically identifies unemployed graduates as beneficiaries of the internship programme.
