The problem our programme addresses

In early 2024, South Africa’s unemployment rate hit 32.9%, rising to 45.5% among youth (15–35). Many young people struggle to find jobs, with high dropout rates and financial barriers limiting access to further education. Green Skills Development equips youth with the skills and opportunities needed for meaningful employment in the green economy, supporting Nature Connect’s mission to empower and train future conservationists.
