About Reid Sperisen

Reid Sperisen is a Nature Connect Media and Communications international volunteer for winter 2026.  He is a recent graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied communication and political science with a minor in professional writing.  Reid was drawn to Nature Connect because of his lifelong interests in wildlife conservation and nature preservation, especially for elephants.  He was previously a staff writer for UCLA's Daily Bruin and also enjoys competitive swimming, discovering new music, and tasting foods that contain apples or peanut butter.
